Synopsis

At his medical offices in the Castro District, Dr. Marcus Conant demonstrates a new procedure that helps eradicate the facial atrophy associated with modern AIDS drug therapy. Conant, along with Dr. Paul Volberding (seen at San Francisco General Hospital) and AIDS researcher Jay Levy (in his lab at UCSF) were at the forefront of AIDS research and they recall dealing with the disease before it even had a name. Dr. Conant relates a poignant story of a dying patient he'll never forget.
